Colloid Mill

Waukesha Cherry-Burrell Colloid Mills dispense product inline through larger openings. The clearance setting does not affect product movement. As a result, you get up to 50% more flow rate with less heat than other mills.

With the stator removed, you gain complete visibility. The stator comes off without the need for tools. In addition, the mill can be cleaned in place, depending on the application.

With only seven basic parts to the mill, cleaning and inspection are quick and easy.

A simple, calibrated ring locks in position in increments of .0025 between .025 and .61 cm. Since there is no need for special tools, there is less chance for error. As a result, there is also less downtime. In addition, clearance adjustments can be made ‘on the fly during operation or when stopped.

The shaft and bearing position is independent of clearance adjustment, so heavy-duty, pre-loaded bearings can be used for longer life. As a result, it runs quieter.

Economical Waukesha Cherry-Burrell Shear Pumps combine product transfer with many involved and otherwise expensive processing operations. A complete predictable action produces mechanical, hydraulic, ultrasonic, and controlled cavitation phenomena for dependable, uniform inline or batch processing with no aeration.

The flow rate through a controllable stator rotor arrangement, coupled with pump RPM, determines the ultimate effect on your product. No complicated adjustments are necessary. You can simply select one of various modularly interchangeable stator and rotor combinations. As a result, product quality control is built into the design. Depending on the food-grade pump setup you choose, you can texturise, emulsify, blend, reconstitute, suspend, disperse, or polish to consistently maintain constant discharge pumping rates.

Centrifugal Pumps

Since no tools are required, it’s easy to access the quick-opening, heavy-duty cast clamp that secures the casing. In addition, the impeller pin is retained by centrifugal force.

The grooves-in-impeller and shaft routes CIP offers chemical solutions to all critical areas for clean-in-place.

The wave spring provides more uniform loading on the seal face than a single-coil spring. Furthermore, hydraulic balancing reduces sealing surface pressures for less wear and downtime.

Choose from a standard or enlarged inlet with a port connection that meets your piping system. The versatile Waukesha C-Series Centrifugal Pumps from Waukesha Cherry-Burrell offer broad application throughout sanitary and industrial processes. These rugged food grade pumps accommodate a wide range of solids and liquids under various flow conditions and deliver long service with minimum downtime.

Screws made from Waukesha Alloy 88 non-galling material allow the pump to run through incidental contact and reduce risk of pump damage if screws make contact

Extensive global distribution network with certified repair centers provide quick response times for parts and service

Pumps large particulates without degradation

Low inlet pressure requirement and a wide range of operating
speeds allow for multiple duties including process and CIP supply.
Bi-directional flow capability without making modifications to the pump.

Surface Heat Exchanger

Heat Sensitive Products – Delicate products which are adversely affected by prolonged exposure to heat are effectively processed in Votator® II Scraped Surface Heat Exchangers.

Products which crystallize are ideal candidates for Votator® II Scraped Surface Heat Exchanger processing. As product crystallizes on the heat transfer wall, the scraper blades remove it and keep the surface clean.

Products with particulates which tend to plug conventional heat exchangers are handled easily in Votator® II Scraped Surface Heat Exchangers, and the particulates maintain maximum product identify.

Votator® II Scraped Surface Heat Exchangers can serve the food and meat industries in an extensive variety of applications. Whether it’s cooling, heating, sterilizing, crystallizing, freeze concentration, or processing a difficult-to-handle product,
the Votator® II is able to meet the most exacting standards.
